Still going strong and cranking up some of the changes as often as I can. Some more additional updates have just been made to the site. One of the more interesting updates is the Share button for the site. Even though this is a new feature I added, I’m still sort of testing it in various ways. You can identify the Share icon by the little blue plus icon below the head shots on user profiles. For now I will leave it in and monitor the usage. See more details below:
New
- Share button for RM Profiles.
- Guest homepage now Synced with Internal User homepage
Enhancements
- CSS/UI fixes.
- Removed floating footer.
- Tweaked navigation
Still working on RM Release 3. I was thinking it might be a better Idea to deploy changes in small chunks since there is so much I am trying to do at once. This first update for R3 is probably one of the largest updates I have made since I first published the site, both in design and architecture. There has been a huge logic change under the hood. The other big new change is the homepage layout, it needed something new. Thanks to my buddy Josh who is on the banner for the support and testing, as well as other models. I have deployed the first update for R3 and it includes:
New
- New section on the profile called “Portfolio”. You can use this to add a list of items to things you have done and/or have credits to, IMDB style.
- New style sheet for the buttons.
- Fresh new look for the homepage.
- Blog Stream
- Video Stream
- RM Directory of Modeling Agencies
Enhancements
- Re-vamped Profile Edit section. It is much cleaner now with common items grouped together into a tab.
- Architecture under the hood.
More to come…
There are 3 major changes in this release. First, the profile pages for members can now be linked-to publicly. So if you copy the URL link of your profile to put on websites, facebook etc….people can now see them. Second, members now have the ability to invite models in their own social circle to setup a profile. Third, the entire RM framework was re-written to fix some issues and hopefully allow to make more frequent updates easily.
New
- Profile pages now public viewable.
- RM Core re-written.
- Ability to send out invites.
Enhancements
- Live search fix for setting location.
- Account Settings updates.
- Image upload updates.
- Application layer changes.
- Presentation layer changes.
- Database layer changes.
